Henley Literary Festival is established as one of the UK’s biggest book festivals.
The 2022 Festival line-up was our biggest yet with over 130 events for adults and children. We are back this September 30 to 8 October with 130 talks, performances and conversations for adults and children, with the majority available to watch online as well as in-person. Speakers at Henley Literary Festival 2023 include: Theresa May, Ben Okri, Sophy Henn, Robert Peston, Jacqueline Wilson, Gary Younge, Judy Murray, Timothy West, Shaparak Khorsandi, Sebastian Faulks, Salena Godden, Michael Ball, Victoria Hislop, Stephen Mulhern, Emily Gravett and Simon Schama, among many more. And pop-up events in September and October include Rick Stein, Sara Pascoe, Liam Brady, Philippa Gregory, James O’Brien and Phil Tufnell.


Our stellar line-up extends to our fantastic programme for schools which we also stream all to classrooms and school halls. Our line-up includes David Baddiel, AM Dassu, AF Steadman plus many more!
The Festival was launched in 2007 and previous speakers have included John Mortimer, Theresa May, Doreen Lawrence, John Major, Julia Donaldson, Richard E. Grant, Candace Bushnell, John Sentamu, Cressida Cowell and Graham Nash.
