Pavilion
Opened in December 2021, Pavilion is an award-winning, independent delicatessen, fine food store and cookery school. Located in a beautiful grade II listed building dating back to the 1400’s, Pavilion has a prominent location in the centre of Henley’s historic Market Place, also home to the annual Henley Royal Regatta. With a team of talented chefs creating deli dishes with the best local ingredients and producers in our open plan kitchen, Pavilion is more than just a shop, it is a sensory celebration of the delicious flavours and aromas of wonderful food. We aim to create restaurant quality food, but not at restaurant prices. We are incredibly proud to have won a number of awards for our products, such as being awarded the highest 3-Star accolade at the 2022 Great Taste Awards as well as Gold at the Global Spirits for our Pavilion gins, and also having our fish pie rated as the best in the country.
Our role in the community is hugely important to us, and in addition to being a hub of all thing’s foodie – including a wide range of cookery classes, catering and events – we also love to guide budding chefs of the future through our work with local school children. At Pavilion, we aim to build bonds through a love of food.
Giggling Squid
Giggling Squid is all about food with personality, cooked with expertise and shared with generosity. At its heart is the spirit of Thai mealtimes – plentiful dishes, bold flavours and authentic ingredients – to be shared and enjoyed together.
Founded by husband-and-wife team, Andy and Pranee, Giggling Squid was inspired by Pranee’s childhood food memories and a shared determination to bring the Thai mealtime ethos to the UK food scene – informal, adventurous, and truly welcoming. Together they created a unique Thai Tapas menu – lots of small dishes to enjoy together, which is still a favourite amongst guests today.
The menu offers something for everyone from luscious curries, spicy Thai salads, noodles and stir fries and delicious vegan dishes. Giggling Squid also offers a range of cocktails from classics to signature Thai twist tipples alongside a selection of alcohol-free sips. There’s also a special kids’ menu.
Located in the centre of town, not far from the various venues hosting the Henley Literary Festival, the décor at Giggling Squid Henley is bright, bold and botanical offering guests a feast for the eyes as well as the tastebuds, something Pranee is passionate about as she adds her own personal touch to every restaurant.

The Relais
