Crowdcast Livestreaming
We’re using the world-leading platform for online events Crowdcast; there’s nothing to download – you’ll be sent an email with the link to watch 24 hours before the event.
- Events will work on phones and tablets but are best watched on a computer or laptop – wherever you have the strongest internet connection.
- Our tech team will work with all authors and interviewers to ensure internet, sound and vision is optimised for the best possible viewing experience.
- Should your internet fail you or prevent you watching live, the event will remain available to view for another 24 hours using the link sent to you. Should our internet fail we will upload the event to Youtube and send to ticket holders.
Each Livestream event takes place at a single Crowdcast link. That means you’ll use the same link to register, watch live, and view the replay of a particular event.
Joining a Crowdcast Event for the First Time
- Go to the event link provided by the host.
- Click the “Save my spot!” button.
- If you don’t have a Crowdcast account, enter your email address and click on the green arrow to continue, or continue with a social sign-on option.
- If this is your first time registering for an event with that email, provide your name and agree to the terms of service.
- Once you register, you will have immediate access to the event, along with a confirmation email containing a direct link to join in the future.
In order to interact with the event you’ll need to verify your email. Simply click the text above the chat box to complete the verification.
Click the green button in that email to sign in and access the event. If you don’t see the email in your inbox, be sure to check your spam or junk folder.
Returning to Watch a New Event
- Navigate to the event link. Click the green “Save my spot!” button.
- If you are still logged into Crowdcast, you’ll gain immediate entry.
If you are not signed in, enter the email address you’ve used previously or select a social sign-on option.
