Lucy Shepherd: Making An Explorer

What does it really take to become an explorer? Lucy Shepherd, star of Channel 4 documentaries Secret Amazon and Secret Africa, travels beyond maps and certainty to find out. Lucy, a Royal Geographic Fellow by 23, ventures to Henley with Into The Wild, charting a world-first expedition; she led a small all-Indigenous Amerindian team across Guyana’s remote, unforgiving Kanuku Mountains, taking on challenges including dense jungle, treacherous rivers, hunger, injury, alligators and jaguars.
