The Co-operative Bank is the only UK high street bank with a clear Ethical Policy that is based on the views of its customers, a first for a bank when it was introduced in 1992. It enables our customers to have a say in how their money is invested and reflects their concerns through the creation of a set of standards, that are regularly reviewed, and govern the types of businesses the Bank will and will not offer services to. It covers a wide range of issues from human rights and the arms trade through to environmental sustainability. Today, 15 years on, we’re still the only UK high street bank to offer customers a say in how their money is used and actively encourage their impact into the ongoing development of our Ethical Policy.

We are delighted to be sponsor of the Co-operative Bank Henley Literary Festival and look forward to working with the team in Henley to develop a programme of promotional activity linked to the Festival over the coming weeks.
